Rest of the Day: Pocket Adds New Fonts and Features
Are you a serif or a sans serif person? Pocket just added a few new fonts to help you customize your reading experience (although serif fonts are obviously better though), the Amazon Echo continues to receive new features (Uber and pizza!) And more in today’s breaking news.
- The popular reading app later, Pocket, has seven new fonts for Premium subscribers, as well as an “Auto-Dark” mode, which, as the name suggests, adjusts the color scheme based on the reader’s environment. Also new is a font designed to help dyslexic readers. [The Next Web]
- You can now order Uber from Amazon Echo . You can also order pizza . Got Spotify yesterday. Put it all together and it means it’s time to stone and yell at your robot friend to order pizza while you listen to music. [Uber]
- Call quality on Google Hangouts is now slightly better after internal changes made it easier to make calls. New connections for peer-to-peer calls eliminate the need to go through Google servers, which speeds up your work. [VentureBeat]
- Hello ISIS ! Since mid-2015, Twitter has blocked 125,000 user accounts that were used to promote violence or threaten violence . They are also increasing the number of their teams and proprietary tools to identify offending accounts faster. [Twitter]
- Kotaku reviews the 12 best Xbox One games in a new video . I myself am returning to the magical mysterious island of the Witness for the weekend. Thank goodness it’s TGIF today. [Kotaku]
