Amazon Allowance Helps You Control Your Amazon Spending
When shopping on Amazon, it’s all too easy to overshoot your budget. One thing that might help: Amazon Allowance, the company’s relatively unknown gift card funding program.
Amazon Allowance allows you to add funds to your gift card balance for yourself or someone else. You can set it up to top up your gift card daily, weekly, monthly, or biweekly – or just as a one-time top-up. All you need is a person’s email address, and you can pay for their purchases on Amazon without splitting up credit cards or your account.
It can be of great help for parents with kids in college, but I use it for my family to help us stick to our budget for categories like books and DVDs.
