Make Fluffy, Quick Frittats in the Waffle Iron
The frittata cooking process usually consists of two stages: cook on the stovetop, then cook in an oven or roasting pan. Skip this step and make a unique frittata waffle in your all-in-one waffle iron.
All you have to do is mix the eggs with the additives, pour the mixture into a waffle iron and wait for a few minutes. In the above creation, I used three eggs, a cup of spinach / diced tomatoes / cheese mixture and cooked for about 4 minutes. (In hindsight, I should have thrown in the bacon or more cheese and cooked for another minute. If you have a regular waffle maker instead of a Belgian one, take less time.) They were fluffy and crunchy and enjoyed by everyone. around.
While not a traditional frittata – it’s more like a waffle made entirely with topped eggs – this method eliminates the need to turn on the stovetop as both sides are cooked at the same time. It makes a light, handcrafted egg dish that can be frozen and reheated for a quick breakfast. This is great for people who avoid wheat. And it’s infinitely versatile.
I’m not sure where I first saw this idea, but Real Food by Dad has a frittata recipe that looks even better (but requires you to cook frittata on the stove first and then chill before using the waffle iron) and this waffle iron recipe I used the omelet for inspiration.
Go and make a waffle iron, whether you want to make mini calzone , moserralla sticks, churros , brownies , bacon , biscuits , potato scones or cinnamon rolls . Clearly, the waffle iron is not a disposable pony.
