Efficiently Cut and Shape Styrofoam With This DIY Styrofoam Knife

If you are working with Styrofoam or other similar materials, you know that it can be difficult to cut and shape the pieces to the desired shape. This DIY rig cuts any Styrofoam safely and accurately and can be easily stored when not in use.

This YouTube video by Grant Thompson “The King of Randomness” shows you how to turn a 6-volt flashlight battery and stainless steel hanging wire into a versatile “Styro Slicer”. You will also need 3/4 ” PVC tubing, a recycled power cord, and a few other pieces of equipment that Thompson mentions in the video to complete the assembly. Once all this is assembled, you can make cuts at almost any angle. And when you don’t need it, it all folds together for easy storage. You can use Styro-Slicer to cut and shape shapes, patterns, and even safe props for your next cosplay. You can find out more about the project at the link below.
