ChangePolitics Directs Citizens’ Questions Directly to Our Presidential Candidates

Even if you follow the debate and know the positions of candidates on various issues, you probably have questions that potential presidents have not yet answered. ChangePolitics.org can help.

The site, powered by the Change.org petition platform, collects questions for policymakers. You can submit a question or vote on a submitted question, and those with the most votes – by January 31st – will be delivered to candidates for their answer.

At the moment, among the questions that have received the most votes:

  • “If the status quo continues, more than 128,000 people will be shot during the next presidential term. What is your plan to reduce gun violence in America? “
  • “How do you fix the $ 18 trillion national debt?”
  • “Do you think that responsible marijuana use should be an adult crime? Why?”

You can ask your question to the Democratic or Republican candidates. Business Pundit reports that Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, Carly Fiorina, Mike Huckaby and Ben Carlson have already committed to answering (at least some of) the site’s questions.

You can also see the support of candidates by other political leaders and organizations on the site.

Both functions are designed to help us make easier decisions when it comes time for an election.
