Minimal Ultra-Wide Workspace
On the Battlestations subreddit, Repens took on a shiny new ultra-wide monitor and wanted to do something a little different with his desk to accommodate it. The end result is this beautiful, minimalist, distraction-free setup.
Scroll down a bit in his branch and expand on the details of the snap -in that the entire shebang runs on:
Currently running an i7 4770k with 16GB of RAM (I really need 32GB) and one 980ti in the Lian Li Tyr X500. I also have a Lian Li v2000b that I was working on and into which it will eventually be transplanted.
Monitor LG 34UM95
I had a few Audioengine A2s on my desk, but I got a little tired of them, so they stay in my closet until I find something else that I like. Audio is currently being processed by Emotiva XDA-2 and Schiit Lyr with Hifiman HE400 and finally the table here .
Thanks for watching!
If you love the keyboard as much as I do, you’ll want to check out this comment where he explains how he made it and the components you’ll want to reproduce. You can pick the PCB by yourself and its keyboard uses MX Cherry Greens with Dolch DSA keycaps.
It all looks serene, perfect for work, plenty of desktop space to lay things out if he needs to, and of course this ultra-wide is probably fun for movies and games if he’s into Something of the sort. If you dig it up, you can check out the entire gallery or click on the link below to go to Reddit and let him know how good the setup is.
If you have your own workspace to show off, share it with us by adding it to our Lifehacker Workspace Show and Tell Flickr pool . Make sure all photos you add are at least 1280×720 in size. Maintaining their 16: 9 format also helps. Include a little text about what you used, how you came up with the design, and any other important details. If your smart organization and good design flair are striking, you could be the next workplace ambassador!
