You Have Until the End of the Year to See If Verizon and Sprint Owe You Money

If unauthorized payments have been made on your Verizon or Sprint account, you may be eligible for a refund, but your deadline is fast approaching. You must file your claim by December 31st.

Over the past few years, a handful of major cellular operators have been fined for making unauthorized payments to customer accounts . This was a practice called “cramming,” and involved charging customers for third-party messaging services, such as weekly horoscopes or dating tips, without their consent.

Current and former Verizon and Sprint customers who paid for unauthorized text messages between July 1, 2010 and January 31, 2014 are most likely eligible. However, don’t expect huge benefits. According to CNN :

Verizon says reimbursements may be lower than expected, depending on the total number of claims filed. The company also states that it cannot send refunds if the total amount owed is $ 3 or less. Sprint said current and former prepaid customers (Virgin Mobile, Boost Mobile, Sprint Prepaid, and Assurance Wireless) are eligible for a one-time refund of $ 7.

The deadline is tomorrow and you can request a refund using the links below.
