Transform Your Hot Chocolate by Boiling It With Banana Peels

Obviously, there is nothing wrong with plain hot chocolate, but if you want a Bluth banana stand in a mug, consider boiling the yellow rind along with the chocolate brew.

This tip (along with seven others from Epicurious, linked below) couldn’t be easier. Just toss the banana peels into the pot along with the usual suspects, simmer and remove before pouring into mugs. Top with whipped cream and cherries for a banana flavor.
