SAFE Donates Old Toys to Children in Need
When your kids receive new toys, donating old ones can help children in need and reduce clutter in your home. Emergency Stuffed Animals (SAFE) takes cleanly used toys (not just new ones) and ships them directly to children who can use them instead of selling them.
While there are many good children’s organizations that you can donate toys to, many across the country only accept new toys or resell your donations instead of giving them into the hands of children who will use them. SAFE sends donated toys to children who live in shelters, who are homeless, or who receive help from local police or firefighters during an emergency such as a fire or natural disaster. You can donate at one of the local offices or by mail. Be sure to clean all stuffed animals before giving them away. You can also donate clean, neatly used blankets, baby products, coloring books, and books.
