“Maybe a Little Less Stress Is Better Than a Little More Money.”
On the eve of the new year, many people have new responsibilities and new plans. Before you start anything new, Product Manager Ankur Shukla reminds us that sometimes stress is the most important thing to consider.
Shukla puts it this way:
The amount of stress you apply to increase a figure in your paycheck can be an exponential function of the stress of the distance of that figure from where the units are located. And when you’re not working, you worry about how to properly invest that extra earned money. All I am saying is that if you are still in your prime numbers, just compare your salary with what you had 10 years ago and you will see the difference. You have earned a lot! And you are still in your prime numbers. Think about it! Maybe a little less stress is better than a little more money.
It’s a small thing, but worth considering as you move into the new year.
