Plex Is Now Free for Xbox and PlayStation
Good news, Xbox and PlayStation owners, you can now stream media to your TV from your game console using Plex. The app is out of the testing phase and can be used for free without a Plex Pass subscription.
The apps were made available for PlayStation in January and for Xbox last October, but only to Plex Pass users. They are now free for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
Once you install the app and connect it to your Plex Media Server on your home server or media center, you can access your music library, watch movies and TV shows, get recommendations, and more through your console.
