Drinking Coffee Can Help You Avoid Premature Death

There is already a lot of evidence that coffee is beneficial for certain aspects of your health , but a recent 30-year study shows that it can actually help you avoid premature death.

The study, conducted over the years by several researchers at the Harvard School of Public Health and recently published in the journal Circulation , involved more than 90,000 women and 40,000 men. Long-term research results show that those who consume both caffeinated and decaffeinated coffee will have a lower risk of dying from cardiovascular disease, neurological disease, type 2 diabetes, and a lower likelihood of suicide.

It’s important to note, however, that this study is heavily based on the link between coffee consumption and the long-term health of participants who drank coffee. Correlation doesn’t always mean causation, but the size and scope of this study certainly do justice to the health claims of coffee. One to two cups a day can do much more than just wake you up.
