If you are having a big turkey dinner this Thursday, you may be feeling some anxiety about how much to serve. This calculator can help with this.
Just enter the number of guests expected and it will give you the corresponding amount of food (and wine) you need to provide.
The odds for the calculator are taken from the Food Network portion planning article and also from my own experience.
Please note that the amount of turkey depends on the weight of the whole bird, bones and everything else, so that there is enough meat for everyone. In addition, we collected all the items that turned out to be fractional – it’s better to have too much than too little! After all, who doesn’t love the leftovers from Thanksgiving?
