F.lux Is Available for IOS, No Jailbreak Required
iOS: F.lux, an app that changes the screen temperature based on the time of day, is one of our favorites because it makes your screen more readable at night. It’s now available for iOS if you’re ready to jump through a couple of hoops.
To install f.lux you need to download it on iOS. While it sounds intimidating, all you need is a free copy ofXcode 7 , a free Apple and Mac developer account (at least temporarily, the app will automatically update itself after installation). Basically, f.lux provides you with the source code of the app, then you build it and download it yourself to your iOS device. This is how developers create their own iOS testing apps, but the process doesn’t require any coding knowledge at all. The process is the same as f.lux’s fake, Gamma Thingy , which we talked about recently. F.lux has an official guide to guide you through the process below. When you’re done installing f.lux will run on iOS, changing the screen temperature based on the time of day.
Update: pulled out f.lux . Apple contacted them and reported that the app was in violation of the Developer Program Agreement.
