A little gratitude does more than just make you feel good: it can improve your finances , improve relationships, and even improve your work. Expressing gratitude to colleagues at the end of the day can help create a productive use case the next day.

This is a fairly simple sentence. Tim Hird, CEO of Robert Half Management Resources, at Business Insider provides some tips on how to end your day on a good note. He says that the words “thank you” can go a long way:

Whether it’s a presentation for an investor or a lunch for you when you haven’t had a chance to pull away, expressing gratitude evokes positive feelings and makes others – and you – feel good about yourself. “If we end each day on a positive note, it gives us a head start tomorrow,” says Hird.
