Avoid Overloading Your Laundry by Matching the Laundry to Your Pets

It is good to wash your sheets regularly, but pet fur can make you want to wash them every single day. You can avoid this worry by making sure your lingerie matches the color of your furry friends.

As much as you love your pets, they can wreak havoc on your home . When they shed, their fur can cover all of your underwear, whether you let them lie on your bed or not. For example, a dog with black fur may depict a white veil as if it is growing its own fur. This is why Taryn Williford of Apartment Therapy recommends matching underwear to match your pet’s coat. Whether you have a pet of a different color or have multiple pets, Williford has found a good middle ground:

Bacon is black and white, so there is no one ideal color for us. But now we have a mess of medium beige and gray bed sheets, and they seem like the best option for camouflaging pet hair that ends up in our bed, from a pet dog that ends up in our bed, every night.

If possible, it’s also a good idea to match the color of your furniture. Some fabrics and materials are also better than others . That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t wash your laundry regularly, but if you’re a neat freak like me, it’ll save you a little sane.
