Turn Your Cheap LED Washer Into UV Black Light or Colorful Holiday Light
Push-button LED washer lights are pretty boring in and of themselves. Take it apart and solder your own colorful LED bulbs for a little holiday fun, or a UV lamp for a DIY flashlight.
Replace standard white LED bulbs in washers by prying off the light and heating the solder holding the bulbs to release the LEDs. Then solder the 5mm UV LED bulbs or colorful holiday LED bulbs and re-assemble the LED bulb.
Polarity matters, so remember that the longer pole of the LED bulb is a plus and solder it to the corresponding marked spot on the light board. When you’re done, you have a cheap, bright and festive light that you can press to turn it on and off, and it will last forever on a single battery.
