Store Takeout Food Insulated in the Microwave Until Ready to Eat

You just bought a delicious takeaway food, but you can’t really dig into it yet. Maybe you have to walk the dog, send a quick email, or wait for someone else to get home. You can put takeout food in the microwave and close the door to keep it warm and taste fresh.

Regardless of the fact that you are about to lose a lot of heat, using the microwave as a takeout storage can extend this window for fresh takeout by at least half an hour. Compared to a counter setting where your food starts to cool off quickly, this is quite beneficial. However, if you have to wait too long, you can always reheat it so it tastes like new .
