Dry Your Shirts Faster With These DIY Space Hangers
By drying your clothes, you save energy and do not wear them out as quickly. The downside is that it takes a lot longer to dry. These custom “space hangers” will speed up the process.
When you hang a wet shirt on a regular hanger or place it on a dryer, the fabric of the shirt sticks together and takes longer to dry. As userflavrt Instructables explains, air drying is related to surface area, and these individual suspensions double the amount of surface moisture that can evaporate from. All you need to make them are two regular plastic hangers and a way to spread them out and join them at three points. The flavrt manual uses plastic tubes and small mounting screws, but you can get creative. In general, they shouldn’t cost more than a couple of dollars apiece.
