If you force yourself to move at a comfortable and challenging pace or run with others, you can increase your brain’s feel-good endorphins responsible for highs. It’s also interesting that another chemical called endocannabinoids (which is similar to the chemical in marijuana ) may also play a role. There are three times more of them in the morning than at night, which can be another good reason for a morning run. Well worth the experiment at least.
