Brlée Your Eggs for the Most Decadent Breakfast in History

Just as I thought I ate an egg in every possible way to eat an egg, Alvin Keilan swooped in (from the amazing Eggslut) and proved I was wrong with this video showing us how to cook Egg Brlée.

Come to think of it, we had to do this all the time. Creme brulee – one of my favorite desserts – is already quite egg-like, so why not remove all that cream and set fire to the yolk straight out? The result is not a dessert, but a rich, slightly savory, extremely decadent breakfast unlike anything you’ve ever tasted.

The video above and the article below are full of tips and tricks for making the perfect filled eggs, but Kaylan’s number one tip for Egg Brûlée? Buy a blowtorch. Just remember to keep it on low heat while the yolks are being harvested; you want them to be caramelized, not burnt.
