This Video Debunks Three Popular Wine Myths
Many people enjoy drinking wine, but there is still a lot of confusion around it. This video explains the truth about three widespread wine beliefs.
Gerald Morgan, a professional sommelier, takes the reins in this video on the Art of Manliness YouTube channel to clarify some of the myths surrounding wine. Morgan explains that the smell of the cork won’t tell you if the wine is good (you want to look at the color instead), that the wine definitely pairs with chocolate (if you combine the right varieties ), and that wines with good stems, the drips that form and roll down the side of the glass, are not necessarily good wines. Morgan concludes with great advice if you’ve been to a wine tasting and want to cleanse your palate (hint: have a beer).
