Dark Sky Adds Advanced Notifications, Multi-Source Weather Information, and More.
iOS: Dark Sky, one of our favorite weather apps for iOS , got a big update today that adds a whole new set of notifications, crowdsourced weather, and a new timeline.
The update adds a new timeline view so you can quickly view the forecast for the day by the hour. You can now also customize it with improved notifications that will alert you to upcoming weather conditions for the next 24 hours, not just impending rain. You can set up these alerts to notify you at a specific time on a schedule every day and only receive them when they meet certain criteria (a certain amount of rain, a certain temperature, or whatever). Also new is the crowdsourced weather reporting option where you can send your own weather report to give other users a more accurate version of the weather.
