This Picture Shows Many Ways to Make Real Ramen.

When you talk about ramen, there is a place in the packaging, but that’s nothing compared to the real deal – and this picture shows you how to make a real tortilla at home with the right ingredients and 25 different regional varieties you can sample.

The complete graphic is a Kickstarter success story that is available as a full 16 “x 20” print ($ 30) that you can order directly from the creator (at the link below). Each ramen shape is shown from top to bottom so you can see what the finished product usually looks like, complete with the ingredients that make it so special. It’s beautiful enough to be art, but instructive enough to help you get into the kitchen and create something new.

For example, cold Yamagata ramen is usually served with beef broth with grilled pork, cucumbers, bamboo shoots, green onions and ice cubes to keep everything nice and cold – perfect for a very hot day. Meanwhile, Tantanmen brings warmth with chicken broth flavored with minced pork, chili oil, Chinese hot bean sauce, Chinese sesame paste, and more – all in one tasty (but spicy) bowl.

Of course, the graph does not show specific sizes or methods of making the noodles or broth, but we’ll take care of that too. Click on the magnifying glass to enlarge the image below, or follow the link below to get a copy of the print.
