Lift Meat With Spoons If You Don’t Have a Grill Rack
If you don’t cook your roasts very often, or simply don’t have room for a grill grate, use spoons to get the desired air circulation when roasting meat.
The photo above from Happysoil pretty much says it all. Spoons will prevent the meat from drying out in its own juice (braising instead of baking). I’m not sure if this will work with a very heavy turkey or other large piece of meat – you might be better off using a vegetable bedding – but for an easy replacement of the grill, just alternate a few spoons.
