Turn Watermelon Into Finger Food and Avoid Rapid Oxidation

Here’s a little tip to keep in mind for the summer. Instead of slicing the watermelon into regular slices, turn it over and cut it like a checkerboard on a flat plate, then serve it the same way.

This method will not only make it easier and more fun for children to pick and eat watermelon, but also prevent it from oxidizing and drying out too quickly on a hot summer afternoon.
