Don’t Stop at Plan B: Make a Plan Z for Your Life

We all have a plan A for life, and maybe even a plan B. But knowing which Plan Z you have, or the last option, can help motivate you to strive for what you really want out of life.

Visualizing the negatives gives you a stronger appreciation for what you have and helps you focus on what you really want out of life. For example, my plan Z was to sell most of what I have and crash with my parents. Since I really, really don’t want to do this (no offense, Mom and Dad), it motivates me to save as much money as possible so that I have funds to return to if I lose my job.

With a Z plan, you will feel more secure in starting your own business or in career advancement. You know you have people you can count on to help you if you fail, so pursue your biggest goals.
