GIF for Mac Ensures You Always Have the Perfect GIF Response at Your Fingertips
OS X: GIF is a simple free Mac app that lets you find the perfect GIF at the right time, get a link to insert it into a chat or email, or download it to your computer. If you communicate using GIFs (and, frankly, who doesn’t ), it saves you the hassle of searching Google for the perfect one.
GIFs come from several different sources, but these are mostly the most popular Reddit GIF repositories like / r / ReactionGIFs and / r / GIFs, as well as Tumblr sources like Mr GIF and WhatShouldWeCallMe . If you have a favorite Reddit thread full of GIFs, or a favorite Tumblr, you can also add it to the app by simply clicking the plus sign above the search bar.
If you’re looking for something, enter your keyword search into the bar in the upper left corner and enjoy the related GIFs expanding before your very eyes. If you like it, mark it to come back to it later (by clicking the “flagged” option in the sidebar), or right-click it to copy the URL to the clipboard (or press CMD + C), copy it Markdown , open it in a browser, or even save the GIF locally to insert into emails. That’s all there is to it. It’s free and available on the Mac App Store.
