Spray Hairpins With Hairspray to Keep Them in Place

Sometimes bobby pins don’t do what they should. You want them to keep your hair in place, but gradually, over the course of the day, it will come loose. For a better hold, spray hairspray on them before styling.

It’s pretty straightforward, but beauty site Makeup.com explains:

Coating bobby pins with a layer of hairspray will turn them into “sticky bobby pins” and give them a better grip when you slide them into this carefully styled lush braid. If you don’t want to spray them individually, you can place the bobby pins on a paper towel, spray, then grab the edges of the paper towel and shake gently to distribute the product evenly. Then just pin it up!

I actually saw the stylist doing this when I cut my hair, so I thought I’d give it a try. It definitely helps. To learn more about bobby pins, read the full post at the link below.
