Emergency Sends You Weather Alerts for Multiple US Cities

Android / iOS. Chances are, you have friends and family all over the country and want to be sure they are safe. If you want to keep track of the weather conditions in all of their cities, the new Red Cross Emergency app lets you do just that.

The Red Cross recently released a free Emergency app that lets you select weather alerts based on your location. All you have to do is select your cities, add any contacts associated with those locations, and choose to receive alerts related to 35 different weather conditions.

From there, the app will track activity in these areas across the country, and you will be notified if the weather is severe in the area where you have friends and family.

If they also have an app, they can let you know they are safe by using the Family View feature. The application does not transmit or store any information – no login is required. But they have a pretty solid privacy policy anyway, and you can read about it here .
