Search Movies, Music, Places and More With the OS X Shortcut
Command + Control + D has always been a handy shortcut for finding the definition of a word on Mac, but you can now find a lot more in Yosemite, including suggestions from iTunes, the App Store, movie schedule, etc. and more.
All you have to do is select the word in OS X, then press Command + Control + D (or right-click and choose Look in Dictionary). If you happen to pick a word that matches one of the contextual searches, you will get specific results for it, as if you were searching in the spotlight. For example, if you highlight ‘Ex Machine’ and search, you will see the local session schedule.
