Build Your Own Hanging Bike Storage for 1/4 the Price
Storing bikes inside is tricky, especially when you have more than 2 or 3. This do-it-yourself solution will place up to six bikes against a wall while still providing easy access without breaking the bank.
The Velo Grip bike rack is a popular bike storage product, but it costs $ 250-300. The bike enthusiast shown in the video made a copy of the Velo Grip piece by piece for about $ 60. Its version works on the same principle as the Velop Grip, which has hooks or straps that attach to the front wheel but can pivot, allowing your bikes to turn closer to the wall.
You will need a 6ft iron pipe, 3-5 hanging straps , S-hooks, o-rings, carabiners, and 2-3 heavy duty shelf holders .
