Firewatch Desktop

On Flickr, Ahmad is passionate about Firewatch , an upcoming game that promises to be awesome. His desktop gives us a sunset from a beautiful high vantage point, but he also helps him launch applications and check the health of his system. This is how he arranged it.

We can think of worse ways to wait for what seems like a great new game than to dedicate our desktop to it (remember the Destiny desktop ?)

This desktop, dedicated to Firewatch , the upcoming indie game from Campo Santo , takes some illustrations from the commercials and turns them into a lovely HUD that you can sit on and see instantly what’s going on, or one that you can quickly collapse into. to see the system status or what is playing – but also one that does not get in the way when the windows are open and it’s time to work. Here’s what you’ll need to make it your own:

That’s all there is to it, and all the pieces look like they fit together really well. If you’re having trouble getting it set up or having questions, check out Ahmad’s Flickr page (link below) to see how he made it all work, and let him know what we’ve sent you!

Do you have a beautiful and functional desktop to show off? Share with us! Post it to your personal Kinja blog using the Desktop Showcase tag or add it to our Lifehacker Desktop Show and Tell Flickr pool .
