Dosecast Changes Your Challenging Medication Schedule

Android / iOS: When I got home from knee surgery, I suddenly had a ton of medication and exercise to do, all on a different schedule. And when one of your drugs is an opioid, your brain isn’t quite up to the task. Here’s the app that came to my rescue: Dosecast .

Available for Android and iOS, Dosecast tracks your medications, but it does more than just ping you when it’s time to take your medication. It also keeps track of how many doses you have taken — important for drugs with a daily limit — and understands schedules that run “as needed” or based on previous doses — for example, it can remind you to take a dose of Tylenol. 4 hours after the last dose.

It’s a free app, but the $ 2.99 update gives you access to the drug database, so you don’t have to enter all the data manually. In any case, you can also enter your own “drugs” that I used to remind me to do my exercises and TEN machine workouts.

Here’s another tip when lying on the couch: Since you will want to keep your medications nearby, but many of them can be dangerous to children or pets, keep your pills in an inexpensive coin safe . The combination lock will keep curious animals and toddlers out of the way, and you can even write the combination right on the safe if your kids and pets can’t read.
