BitTorrent Sync 2.0 Offers a Pro Version With Selective Sync and More

We previously looked at BitTorrent Sync as a Dropbox alternative for sharing large files between your devices. Now the service has been updated to version 2.0, and with it there is a new Pro level.

The new Pro tier for BitTorrent Sync costs $ 40 per year, which is roughly the same as other services like Dropbox or Google Drive (depending on your storage needs, of course, although Sync has no cap). In the Pro version, you can make all your files available on any device by syncing them only selectively. You also get improved access control for file sharing.

Free users can still use the service with up to 10 folders. Since Sync uses peer-to-peer technology for transmission, there is no limit on the size or speed of the files you are allowed to sync. You can also install Sync on NAS systems to access your personal server from anywhere.
