Assemble This Camera Mount That Can Be Used Anywhere From the One-Handed Clip
Sometimes being portable is more important than carrying around a suitable camera mount or tripod, so user Corybschneider at Instructables came up with a stable, secure mount that can be adapted, set anywhere, and used with one hand. All you need is a clip and a few different screws and nuts.
It might sound a little erratic, but the end product is pretty solid. The clamp serves to hold the camera in position wherever you place it, and the dual brackets, connected by a few screws and nuts, give you the ability to position the camera in any direction. This particular step-by-step guide is for using a standard camera screw mount, and if you don’t like the look of the double arm in the center, you can always adapt the mount to have one screw.
Perhaps best of all, you can make your mount out of items that you probably have readily available, either in your garage or on a quick trip to a hardware store. You won’t need any special tools other than a drill, screwdriver, and ideally a good rotating tool . When you’re done, you have a camera mount that can support most cameras and mid-weight lenses, and can be mounted just about anywhere you can securely attach the clip (and there are plenty of places). below to see how it’s done.
