Create a Stool for Your Kids to Use As a Storage Space
Every home needs a stepped stool, or better yet, one that can be used as storage space. You can build this afternoon stool using simple tools and pine planks from your local home center.
If you are short, you will need step stools to help you navigate pantries and high shelves in the kitchen. They are also great for young children who want to help prepare dinner or need help washing their hands in the bathroom.
Instead of buying cheap plastic plastic that you know will look terrible in your home, create your own that you can paint or dye in any color you like. The storage area is also a convenient place for the kids to store bath toys and you store rags or cleaning supplies. (You can even customize it by specifying their name and let them pick a color to paint it with).
You will need a saw to cut the boards, sandpaper to make them smooth, and a few screws and glue to keep it all together. Add duct tape to the step for extra grip, and cut your own pattern on the side to make it your own.
