Build a Tiny Portable Wi-Fi File Sharing Beacon
Ever needed to share a bunch of files with a group of people, but didn’t feel like carrying a laptop around to do so? On Node, Chris Robinson put together a tutorial on how to create a tiny file-sharing beacon that shares whatever you put on his micro SD card.
The box here is about the size of a tic-tac-toe box. There are around $ 35 worth of stuff inside, including a micro SD Wi-Fi adapter that shares files. All of this is powered by a rechargeable battery and can be assembled with a little soldering. Once you’re done, just pop in the micro SD card with the files you want to share and they’ll instantly be streamed to up to five people.
