Flix Plus Adds Customizable Shortcuts, Hide Posters, and More to Netflix

Chrome: Flix Plus, the original Lifehacker Chrome extension that customizes Netflix to your liking , has been updated with custom keyboard shortcuts, the ability to hide individual posters, and a host of other tweaks and bug fixes.

These features come along with all the original Flix Plus features like filtering recommendations, spoiler hiding, and more. The new version includes four more switchable scripts, making a total of 26. We’ve listened to a lot of your feedback to improve the extension’s existing functionality as well. Here are some of the major changes:

  • You can now prevent the Who’s Watching dialog from interrupting, move My List to the top of the screen, export My List, and hide the billboard.
  • We’ve added many more keyboard shortcuts, especially for the HTML5 player. Hotkeys are now customizable.
  • Rotten Tomatoes and IMDB ratings are now more accurate and work when using HTTPS.
  • When you hover your mouse to view information about a movie or show on the home page, you will see buttons to view a trailer or immediately start playing the movie or show.
  • Various features are now supported on more pages, such as the My Netflix Suggestion List mode, new search, role pages, and custom show pages such as Orange is the New Black.
  • Hide the show by rating it “not interesting”. You can also customize the fade / tint / hide behavior. The fade-in function can also ignore TV shows.
  • Press “r” in any selection area (Home, My List, Genre Pages, etc.) to randomly select a show. The random episode feature works the same for all seasons and within the player.
  • Spoiler images and text are now blurry, and most of them show up when you hover over them or press a key.
  • We’ve improved performance in many areas and added a script disabling guide for further improvements.
  • Error correction.
