Place Cloth or Cardboard on the Windshield to Avoid Frost

We know of some pretty cool ways to avoid the cold, like park your car facing east or use vinegar to quickly defrost your windshield , but if you’ll still be cleaning the window every morning, a piece of cloth or cardboard might be the best option.

Raise the wipers and place cloth or cardboard on the windshield. Then use wipes to hold the material in place. This will prevent condensation and frost from getting on the windshield during the night and will also prevent the wipers from freezing to the glass.

The fabric is fine for mild cold, but if your room is really cold, cardboard is better, which will not freeze to the glass. Of course, it may not work for everyone and in all cases, but this method saves you money on consumables like vinegar and is slightly safer for your windshield than pouring warm water over it.
