Fill Out Your IPhone’s Health Information in Case of an Emergency
iOS 8: Information can be the deciding factor between proper care and wasted time in an emergency. The Apple Health app in iOS 8 can display your emergency medical information and emergency contacts to better inform first responders or anyone else at the emergency room.
To get started, open the Health app in iOS 8. Click the Medical ID menu in the lower right corner and select Create Medical ID. Check the “Show when locked” option. Complete the relevant information, including allergies, reactions, blood type, and emergency contact information. Now emergency responders or friends can view your Medical ID by swiping on the lock screen and tapping Ambulance.
Even if you don’t have iOS 8, you can still add emergency contact information to your phone’s lock screen using wallpaper .
