National Parks Will Be Free for These 5 Days in 2020
If your plans for 2020 include a trip to national parks, the National Park Service announced this week five dates in 2020 when you will be able to visit these parks for free.
Free Days apply to all 111 paid national parks in the US, including Arches National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Crater Lake, and the Grand Canyon.
Entry fees usually range from $ 15 for a car to $ 35 for a car in most parks.
Free days for 2020 will be:
• January 20 (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)
• April 18 (first day of National Parks Week)
• August 25 (birthday of the National Park Service)
• September 26 (National Day of State Lands)
• November 11 (Veterans Day)
If you’re traveling on a budget, days off can make these trips a little more affordable. However, free days are also often quite popular, so if you do go on a free day, you should be prepared to visit with the masses.
Earlier this year, I toured the national parks with a few friends. If you are planning a trip with multiple people and multiple parks, I recommend purchasing the National Parks Annual Pass . The annual pass costs $ 80 and you will receive your entire car within 365 days. Especially if you plan on visiting a few of these parks for $ 35 throughout the year, it can make things a lot more affordable.
Each pass can also have two owners at the same time, so you can split the cost with a friend who also has a trip to the national park and save even more.
