How to Watch Today’s Presidential Debate From Democrats
After several candidates threatened to boycott today’s round over a local labor dispute, it’s official: the latest debate over the 2019 Democratic presidential election continues. And for the first time in the entire debate, we’ll see just seven candidates on the stage at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
These include former Vice President Joe Biden, South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, billionaire Tom Steyer, Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren and entrepreneur Andrew Young.
Meanwhile, candidates including New Jersey Senator Corey Booker and former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro were expelled for failing to meet DNC criteria. Today’s debate will also be the first to not feature California Senator Kamala Harris, who dropped out of the race earlier this month ( citing lack of funding).
What can you expect from today’s 3-hour debate hosted by PBS and Politico? Well, there is likely more talk of impeachment and Medicare For All. Soon after criticism for his consulting work at McKinsey and his fight for access to black voters, Buttigieg will likely sit in the hot seat for a while, too.
If you want to catch the climatic conclusion of the 2019 Democratic Debate, both PBS and CBS will air the debate starting at 8 p.m. ET.
