How to Recover Any Accidentally Deleted Google Photos
Google Photos has several AI-driven features that enhance your photos and create “automatic creations” on your behalf, such as slideshows, collages, and animations of your photos. For example, Google Photos AI can create slideshows based on your hiking adventure last weekend, giving you a convenient way to review your journey without requiring any additional work on your part.
You can go to the For You section of the Google Photos app to view the latest automated creations, and the app often sends notifications when it comes up with a new one. But these guidelines can be easily dropped by accident. And even if you wanted to get rid of the suggested auto-creation right now, you can change your mind later.
Google is finally making it possible to reverse this process and restore previously ignored suggestions. All you have to do is open the sidebar in Google Photos and then dig up the hidden Settings> Missed Suggestions option.
The latest version of Google Photos also adds new gesture controls for switching accounts in addition to this Missed Suggestions menu. As with many other Google third-party apps, you can now quickly switch between different Google accounts by swiping up or down on the profile picture icon in the upper right corner of the app. There is also a new animated progress bar around the icon itself that shows you the download status of any photos or videos you are currently syncing from your device.
Android Police first spotted the new features earlier this week, but they now appear to be available to most Google Photos users. You also don’t need to update the app; just download Google Photos and try new features. If they’re not quite ready for you yet, just wait a little longer as the changes are happening on Google’s side.
