You Can Finally Move Events Between Google Calendars on Android
As much as I would love to have one Google Calendar in which to keep track of all my data, I don’t. I bet you too; From work to rehearsals, to shared roommate calendars, to the calendars of the nonprofit you volunteer for, we all have to manage many things in our complex lives. And by making Google that a little easier on Android, by letting you (finally) move events between your Google Calendars.
Whether you’re fixing a bug or desperate to manage your commitments, moving events is much easier than copying them to another calendar and deleting them in the original is the old method.
Start by clicking on the event and then on the edit icon in the upper right corner (pencil). You will see a screen that looks like this:
Click on the calendar – the very first item under the event name – and you’ll get a list of your other calendars.
Click on one of them to move the event, which will be reflected in the main record, for example:
Click “Save” to confirm your changes. It’s so easy and convenient. (Why couldn’t Google have thought of this until today?)
If for some reason you don’t have this feature, make sure you have updated to the latest version of Google Calendar , then close the app and reopen it. And if that doesn’t work, sit still; Google will bring this to you soon.
