Get This Bookmark Organizer Extension Before It Costs Money
Chrome: One of our favorite Chrome extensions, Sprucemarks, is moving to a subscription model – its creator, Kai Nightmode , announced it this weekend. There is a silver lining, though: getting lifetime access to future versions of Sprucemarks, which is an incredibly powerful tool for automatically sorting your browser’s messy bookmarks, will only cost you $ 7. Best of all, you can use the free version of Sprucemarks forever if you act now.
Why are spruce brands so great?
You can support Sprucemarks by subscribing to his Patreon for a minimum donation of $ 1 per month. Once you have collected $ 7 in total donation, you will have access to all future versions of Sprucemarks. I’d say it’s worth grabbing a coffee from Starbucks because this extension is a great way to reduce your browser clutter. Turn on Sprucemarks and you can set it to automatically sort the entire bookmark bar (or folders inside) by name or URL, or even by the date you bookmarked the website.
And it’s all. It doesn’t have many features, but you have many options for sorting Sprucemarks. For example, if you are only interested in sorting the subfolders of the main folders of the bookmark bar, you can configure Sprucemarks to only work wonders there. Similarly, you can customize the sorting of the Sprucemarks bookmark bar only if you prefer to manage the contents of its folders yourself. (I wouldn’t trust myself with this, but I have too many bookmarks.)
How to use fir tracks for free (forever)
I appreciate the fact that Nightmode, the creator of Sprucemarks, doesn’t impose a subscription element on those who can’t or won’t pay. You can use the free version of Sprucemarks for as long as you like. You will need to download the current version from GitHub, save it somewhere on your computer, enable developer mode in the Chrome browser (via chrome: // extensions /) and download the extension manually.
Keep this Sprucemarks .ZIP archive as well, because you will need to repeat this process for any new systems (or new reinstallations) that you want to use the extension on. It’s a bit of a cumbersome process, but if that’s what you need to do to save $ 7, it’s your responsibility. I’d rather just buy the Patreon.
