Find the Best Hotel Deals With the New Google Travel Tools

As fun as a vacation is, planning your trip can be exhausting and stressful. Sure, an all-inclusive package or travel agent can make this process easier, but it will come at a cost, and some of us choose to do it ourselves anyway, even if we have to rely on a monolithic tech corporation to help us book everything. If that sounds more to your speed, Google recently updated its travel tools with improved search filters that make planning your trip much easier.

Let’s say you want to travel to Reykjavik, Iceland. Go to Google Travel and use the search bar to find your destination, then click the Hotels tab to open the travel planning menu and select the dates you will be staying. You can then use the three new search tabs to select the part of the city you want to stay in, find the cheapest seasons to visit, see what activities or attractions are there to check, get an estimate of the number of other tourists. you will come across a lot more.

Here’s an explanation of the new tabs:

On the first tab , Where to Stay, destinations are broken down by region. For each region, there is an average cost of services, recommendations for nearby attractions, user reviews, and more. Clicking the Add Region button narrows the search for hotels to the selected regions (you can add multiple locations to your search results).

The next “When to visit” tab is similar to the annual forecast of average weather conditions and popularity among tourists for a given month. You will also be given a general scale of how much you can expect to pay for hotels throughout the year.

And finally, the “How much will you pay” tab, which offers a detailed scale of hotel prices for your chosen travel dates. You will be able to see price ranges for 2-, 3-, 4- and 5-star hotels, and filter your search results to include only hotels of a specific rating.

All of these new search capabilities are now available on the Google Travel website; however, not all destinations are currently included, so you may need to change your search criteria if you do not see them.
