What to Watch on Netflix in the Week of January 6, 2020
It’s a warm broth of Netflix offerings this week, a winter mix of arguably funny Netflix originals that have cult potential, but let’s face it, they are more likely to pass the time than change your life.
Wednesday brings the documentary series Cheer , about a college cheerleading team battling to win a big competition. “AJ and the Queen” will debut Friday with Ru Paul as a drag queen traveling the country in a van with a naughty 10-year-old boyfriend. And ” Medical Police” (also “Friday”) is a new series from the Children’s Hospital team about doctors who investigate diseases … and murders !!! I haven’t watched CH, but it looks funny.
Who are we kidding. I’m definitely going to tune in to Betty White, the first lady of television on Sunday. I’m bringing the Golden Girls to Hulu to help me deal with the New Year’s blues, and if anything’s definitely going to improve my mood, it’s a retrospective of the life and career of the genius who embodied the national treasure, Rose Nylund.
