Watch the Disney Fireworks Show at Home
I’ve been thinking a lot about Disneyland lately. Before the pandemic hit, my husband and I were at a very early stage in planning a trip there with our nine-year-old son this fall. How innocent we were back in February, when standing in long lines with strangers and touching the handrails all day seemed like a good idea.
These days, we don’t know when our kids will return to school, let alone when it will be safe to be in Disney’s crowded parks again, but Disney goes above and beyond to give us a little park experience. His latest gift is a pre-recorded video for ” Happily Ever After, ” the grand finale of the Magic Kingdom fireworks show that took place before it all went to hell.
Disney posted the 18 minute video on his blog and YouTube for our viewing pleasure. (Look how close all these people are standing together, my God.)
It is not the same as being there in person; fireworks never look as impressive on screen as they do in real life. But the music and the incredible lights and graphics at the castle make it worth seeing, especially since the experience is both monetarily free and sterile.
