Visit Sesame Street and CNN’s Virtual Town Hall Dedicated to COVID-19.
There are many strange things happening in the world right now. For the most part, it’s weird in a bad way. But the big bird and Sanjay Gupta have teamed up to create a town hall for children and parents on the coronavirus? So THIS is one of those oddities with which we can fall behind.
Sesame Street and CNN announced that on Saturday, April 25, at 9am ET, they will be collaborating on “COVID-19 ABCs: CNN / Sesame Street Town Hall for Kids and Parents.”
The 90-minute town hall-style program will be moderated by CNN host and national correspondent Erica Hill, and will feature CNN Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta, as well as Big Bird and other Sesame Street characters including Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Rosita and Grover. They will tackle various pandemic-related issues such as education, anxiety, screen time, and game dates.
Families can ask experts / characters questions to answer them; they also ask for full names and phone numbers in the materials, which could mean that … could you speak to Big Bird directly ?! Not sure, not clear, but it seems promising.
You will be able to watch the City Hall live on CNN, live on the CNN.com home page, on its mobile app, on CNNgo, or on demand for cable / satellite subscribers.
